A permanent home for Newham’s LGBTQ+ history.

We’re celebrating Newham’s LGBTQ+ community – from the 1950s to today. The pubs. The protests. The joy. The resistance. The people who made Newham home.

For decades, these stories have lived in memory – passed down in conversations, held in photo albums, kept safe by those who were there. Now, for the first time, they will have a permanent place in Newham’s official heritage collection.

Your story is part of this history. Were you part of Newham’s LGBTQ+ community? Do you have memories, photographs, or objects to share? We’d love to hear from you.

Your story matters.
